LOWER DESCHUTES
DAY TRIPS

Originating in the Cascade Mountains, the Deschutes River is the lifeblood of Oregon’s high desert, flowing 252 miles northward to meet the Columbia. The Lower Deschutes, from Pelton Dam to the river’s mouth, is home to a variety of prized species, including native Redband Rainbow Trout, Bull Trout, Steelhead, and Salmon. This world-renowned stretch offers breathtaking canyon scenery, thriving fish populations, prolific insect hatches, and comfortable weather—creating the perfect environment for an unforgettable fly fishing experience.
DAY TRIPS
Our day trips are the perfect way to experience the best of the Lower Deschutes—our most popular option for good reason. Drift through the stunning desert canyon, taking in the rugged beauty as you cast for native Redband Trout and seasonal Steelhead. Floating safely in a drift boat, you’ll cover productive water while enjoying the serenity of this iconic river. Depending on the season, we fish the Warm Springs to Trout Creek stretch or select sections near Maupin. All equipment is provided, along with a delicious shore lunch to fuel your adventure.
